Overview

Built for the Probleemoplossen en Ontwerpen (PnO) curriculum at KU Leuven, this tool is a deep dive into wireless security protocols and their weaknesses.

My team and I built it by combining Bash and the Linux network utilities with Python to tie everything together.

Core Capabilities

  • WEP vulnerabilities: Fully automated exploitation of the IV (Initialization Vector) collisions inherent in the legacy WEP protocol.
  • WPA/WPA2 handshake capture: Automated monitors that wait for the 4-way handshake, or force one by sending de-authentication packets, to capture what is needed to crack WPA networks.
  • Offline cracking: Dictionary attacks against the captured handshakes, run offline.

Honestly, this project is the reason I’m so into security today: it gave me my first real insight into how these systems work and how they can be exploited.
